Standard Cleaning

  1. Straighten up furniture/shelves
  2. Remove clutter from counters/shelves
  3. Dust / wipe all surfaces
  4. Mop
  5. Sweep
  6. Leave all cleaning supplies in order

Upstairs Kitchen

  • All cooks are responsible for cleaning up after themselves or finding a friend to help clean up
  • All counters cleared - only one oil dish on counter next to stove
  • Use paper towel only to remove excess oil; do not use towels with oil
  • Stove-top must be cleaned if cooking for more than 10 people and/or if dirty
  • Empty trash and recycling when full

Pantry

  • Everything in its place

Temple Room

  • All deity paraphernalia to be washed and put away immediately following puja
  • Remove old flowers
  • Place dry flowers/garlands in black bucket in upstairs kitchen - remove string

Instrument Cubby

  • Instruments are Balarama
  • Neat and clean
  • Keep windows closed unless needed to open to prevent instruments getting rained on

Library

  • Books in order
  • As shown in image

Library Closet

  • Mats (brown + blue)
  • Prabhupada's Paraphernalia
  • Garland Making Items
  • Projector Screen

Sound Closet

  • As shown in image

Downstairs Kitchen

  • Dishes
    • Only dishes in the lower, open cabinet are to be used by non-residents
    • Everyone who uses dishes must thoroughly wash, dry and put them away
    • See section on towel system
  • Neaten up counters; remove clutter
  • Use paper towel only to for oil spills; do not use towels for oil

Towel System

  • Downstairs
    • Dish Towels (Large blue with dots)
    • Counter Towels (Grey)
    • Floor Towels (Large blue)
  • Upstairs
    • Puja Towels ()
    • Counter Towels (Thick Grey)
    • Floor Towels (Thinner grey)

Serve-Out

  • Wipe server
  • Ask residents what they would like to do with left over prasadam
  • Empty trash and recycling when full
  • Dry and put away all serve out containers in server closet

Server Closet

  • All items placed as per labels
  • Wash, dry and put away server containers on shelves; do not leave these on the server
  • Vacuum at the bottom
  • More disposables are located in black tubs in the Garage

Dining

  • Wipe down tables
  • Put away cushions
  • Put away scattered toys

Serve-Out

  • Wipe server
  • Ask residents what they would like to do with left over prasadam
  • Empty trash and recycling when full
  • Dry and put away all serve out containers in server closet

Under Stairs

  • Wipe down tables
  • Put away cushions
  • Put away scattered toys

Shoe Room

  • Shoes on Rack, if full then neatly lined
  • The first impression when entering our community center

Downstairs Bathroom

  • Bare necessities
  • Trash can with liners
  • Napkin holder to dry hands; used napkins in trash

Basement

  • Games
  • Temporary Storage (extra bedding, A.C., Paint)

Laundry

  • Festival Area
  • Flowers
  • Laundry
  • Extra Cleaning Supplies

Garage

  • Clean & Organized Bhoga Fridge
  • Extra Disposables Tubs kept sealed
  • Chairs in place

Bhakti Garden

  • Chairs, tables and plants, nothing more

Barn Side

  • Book Room in order
